    Speckled Sussex Male or female?

Ok, so I am pretty new to this, bought 14 chicks from the local feed store. All out of straight run bins. Supposed to be 2 Black Langshans, 2 BSL, 2 BCM's, 3 White Leghorns, 3 RIR and 2 SS. So far I am pretty sure I have 1 Rooster (pic 1) and maybe a SS roo.... (Picture 4). They are almost 8 weeks old.

That first one looks like a barred rock to me.

The legs do look white.....but I thought the comb was a single comb....That's what my BR has (only bigger now that she's mature). What makes a BSL that looks barred like that? (I would love to know, since I'm kind of lacking in the genetics area....) [IMG]

In the picture, it doesn't look like a single comb. It could be and just look funny in the picture.

Here's the info on sex links:

Quote:Now the legs look a tad bit yellow. If so he could be a BR. Do you have a close up of his comb? It still looks odd, that's why I ask.
