Is this a duck egg??? Pictures.......

    I've never seen on in person. But it looks different from my chicken eggs & I seen 1 of my 2 hen ducks checkin out the same nest box I found this egg in today, last week.

    Duck eggs are waxy and larger than typical chicken eggs. On the picture the egg looks glossy, so yes, I would say it is a duck egg. If you crack it, it will have a larger yolk and much more viscous white if it is a duck egg.

    Duck egg's shells are harder too.....dunno if that would help you or not. Looks ducky to me!

    Thanks Guys... it is waxy thats what make me think duck egg [​IMG] Its about the same size of some of my chicken eggs. Do ducks eggs get larger as more or laid, like chicken eggs. If this is a duck egg, its my ducks very 1st egg ever.

    Awwww Thanks Everyone!!! I'm so [​IMG] to finally get my 1st duck egg [​IMG] (I only have 2 duck hens).

    I've got acouple people sayin this is not a duck egg? Only one way to try to find out... I'm gonna put it under my broody hen & see what hatches, if anything. Wish me luck [​IMG]
