Is this a Frizzle Cochin?

    The gent I got her from wasn't 100% sure, he thought she might be a cross
    She's bantam size, POL not sure exactly how old though

    She looks like a frizzle. Frizzles usually aren't spontaneously hatched, they usually have a frizzled parent. If you can contact the guy, ask if he had any frizzled breeders and your question is answered. Her feathers should continue to curl outward as she gets older. :)

    She is definitely mixed with something besides Cochin.

    He picked her up from an auction with a mix of other frizzle and Polish girls. I can't wait to see how she grows up, she's a little stunner

    I think so too, I'm a bit stumped as to what though, I feel like I've seen the black beak and head on another breed but just can't remember which one it was.

    My black frizzle cochins have black beaks, so do silkies. I think that tail carriage is more telling, she is probably crossed with a breed with an upright tail.

    She could be mixed with silkie, but I agree that tail set comes from something pretty upright.

    I'll have to do a little research into the tail set, I definitely wouldn't spotted it without you lovely people :) I'm super excited to see how She grows up
