Is this a full blooded SILKIE?

    Here are the pistures of our new silkies, just wondering if they are full blooded because of his redish neck and head feathers?

    Looks like it to me...silkies come in many color combinations. That is a beautiful roo! Love the colors!

    He does look like a full blooded silkie, although he is probably from a cross of colors, which would make him nonstandard.

    Yes, they are pure silkies. He may be the result of a partridge or buff x black or he could be a black carrying the gold gene. Either way, he does not exhibit a recognized color.

    He looks like a full blooded silkie to me I have two roosters and three hens that look just like him, one of my hens is a blue with the gold feathers around her neck.

    Like others have said they are pure silkies, just the result of mixing colors. I have had several that look very much like him.

    There is no such color variety recognized in silkies.​

    pures, pet quality with bad brass in his neck, not a standard recognized color by aba standards. comes from a mixed colored flock.
