I'll be housing four silkies and a pigeon.

I was looking at that one on MyPetChicken.com. I read that other BYCers said it is cheaply made, and the latches and hinges are soo cheap that they easily break or fall off.

Maybe I was looking in the wrong place, but I couldn't even find the size of the actual secure house part of the coop. I saw the nest box measurements (which was fine), and the total measurement (which they're calling the "house," but is actually the run), around 15 sq. ft of run space, which is pretty small, even for small birds. Even for bantum breeds (which I'm not sure if silies are bantums?), at least 5 sq. ft. of run space each is recommended, which would mean at least 20 sq. ft. for a run...don't know about a pigeon. I do NOT think that would be money well spent, IMO. It's cute, but I don't think much of it's substance.

Those look very nice! I wouldn't mind having one or two, and the price is fantastic!! I will have to build them though as I need to use all the free stuff that I have

I will need one soon as my DS has asked for 4-5 Easter Eggers and I am ... weak with

Thank you guys -- But, like some of you said, it is very cheap.
I figure I may as well buy it for that price. If it's crummy then I'll just get a better one
