is this a good floor for my girls in Vermont ..I would like to do this floor for my girls!! But I need to know if anyone uses this floor or just a solid floor with deep litter

You will want some type of bedding over the plywood for the poop to stick to and absorb the moisture. Even if it's just 1/2", you need something. For ease of cleaning, lay some linoleum over the plywood and if you want to do the dl methodx I would put a 2x6 on edge to keep the litter from falling through the wire. I like the wire under the roost design.

I was thinking the deep litter method on the rest of the floor with a 2x8 to make a solid little wall to hold all the litter in place..

I'm from VT also and having all the open space in the floor there is going to be way too drafty for your chickens when the winter comes
