I got a odd looking egg in my nest box today with my chicken eggs. I looked up guinea eggs online and, well, thats what it looks like to me. I will take a pic of it shortly to show you but have you ever known guineas to lay in nest boxes? I thought they made a nest in the grass somewhere to hide their eggs? [IMG] One of my quineas was making the soft "chi chi chi" sound all day but I didnt pay much attn to it.

I have had them lay in a nest box before...I have had them lay in the middle of the run...I have had them lay next door under a bush...I have had them lay on top of the rabbit coop...I have had them...you get the point

The second picture looks guinea to me not the first. But my monitor is acting up and is funny colors so ??????

To me the guinea eggs seem to be kind of a triangle shape, at least that's what the ones I hatched out looked like. My guineas have not started to lay yet so ????

The only other thing it could be is my Polish but the egg is more of a peachy/pinky tint and not white like polish eggs are.

It is the shape and color of a guinea egg. Can you see the pores really well on the shell? If so, guinea egg for sure.
