Is this a meat or a blood spot?Please look!

    When candling my eggs tonight, i noticed something in one and cracked it open.This is what was in it...can anyone tell me what it is?And will it continue to occur in the same hens eggs?[​IMG]

    Meat spots. Just pick them out with a spoon (or your fingernails) if they gross you out.

    is common in new layers....will most likely not continue with the same hen. I get them from time to time. I just pick them out with a spoon.

    They are fine to eat, they just creep some people out.

    They are fine to eat, but I have read that eggs with blood spots in them aren't kosher. I'm not Jewish, but if that is the case, you need to be careful.

    I thought that it was a meat/blood spot, but thanks for assurance I don't have alien eggs!
