I was told this was a RIR, but could she be an NHR??
Should've mentioned to notice the RIR standing next to Violet as she dustbathes. Just a bit of difference in color eh??!!!
She looks like a pretty NHR pullet to me. I have two of them.
Looks like a NHR to me
Thank you, Cyn & Silkieluvr!
Please check back with this thread. I have another BLOND (so-called) "RIR" that I want to post. But our nasty weather prevents me from getting a good picture.
Hope you can check back in.
I bought 6 nhrs and 2 turned out to be rir and 4 are nhr. It is weird
Sure looks like a NHR. Great picture! Aren't they pretty?
Quote:Yes! Violet here is just beautiful!
The other blond who I want to show you all, is a bit less blond, and I hope to get the thoughts of any who....This other bird's name is Beautiful. As chicks, they looked so much like the RIR chicks but were definitely well.....BLONDER.
it is surely an NHR
Here are my two blonds at 33 days of age in their brooder. They are together on the left. Violet, whom most of you know already, is in front, Beautiful, the lesser blond is behind her.
Notice how their color differs from the others at right.
Any thoughts welcome
