I've had this silkie for 2 years now, and I always just assumed she was a non-standard mixed color. She has been an excellent broody and mother! Just the other day on this section, I saw someone with a "porcelain" silkie. I had no idea that silkies came in porcelain, and thought that mine looked kind of like that one... So, is my silkie a porcelain or just a "mutt" silkie? lol

Nope, looks like a poor colored buff, from what I can tell.

Looks almost like a bleached partridge, with the black in the wings and tail

Possibly a buff/partridge cross.....to be anything close to a Porcelain...she would have to have the double dose of the Lavender gene...which would make her buff color more pastel and her dark points (Black tail and wings) Lavender.... She is a non-standard colored silkie.... she should be used as a broody....they're the best!!!!
