Is this a quail?

    Hi I had button quails before. My sister lives in az and she sent me this picture. She can get pretty close to theme do there are a lot of them. If it is a button you think it was someone's pet and they just let them go

    Not a quail - that is a young fledgling pigeon or dove.

    Thank you , the beak looks strange so that's why I though it was some kind of quail. Are they naturally friendly? She was telling they are all over the place and not very scared of humans.

    yes it is a white wing dove I had some. Yes Doves and Pigeons are very ugly as chicks.

    That young white-wing dove fledged the nest. It's parents will come back to feed it once in a while so it's best to leave it alone.
