I was told this buff was female when I bought it at a flea market about 2 months ago. This morning she crowed for the first time. However, I don't see any leg spurs or feather features indicating she is a rooster? I got 3 chickens at that time and a barred rock did end up being an obvious rooster. This chicken seems to be the lowest on the pecking order though, which makes me worry my other is a rooster as well! I've also includes photos of her. I think she is a white Plymouth rock.

Both are cockerels. Don't buy anything else at that market.

Both cockerels. And spurs don't usually begin to develop until after about 6 months of age.
