Is this a rooster?

    I have a chick that just hatched two nights ago. Already he/ she acts like he/she owns the world. It runs over top of the others and such. Does this mean he is a rooster? Thanks for any info! [​IMG]

    I can't tell by their behavior that young. I can tell you that pullets do the same to each other just as the cockerels will do that.. Watch the comb development. The cockerels combs will be pink and raise faster than the pullets.

    Still sounds like my youngest daughter and she's 24 now! [​IMG] Guess either sex can be a little "full" of themselves! [​IMG]

    no not always. my hens are usually more out going at first until th emales get biggger then them. only way to tell at this age is the poop test.
