is this a sex link or araucana?

we bought a "gold sex link" chick. but it looks like an araucana to me. anyone know what it is. or what mix it might be?

definetly an EE-

(not sure about the araucana I always forget the differences in them and EE's- so I call them all EEs to be on the safe side)

the side muffs and green/grey legs are the giveaway.

i dont know what EE means. is that a breed?

EE means Easter Egger and it is a general term for any bird that has the Blue egg gene in them which means that they are a cross of either Araucana or Ameraucana and some other bird to give it the blue egg laying ability so no it is not a specific breed but a general term for a specific type of mutt. It is very hard to get real Ameraucana and Araucana almost never possible thru a large hatchery or a feed store

gunnarmcc- You are entirely correct on your info, none of the large hatcheries sell either Araucana's or Ameraucana's no matter how they describe them in their web-site or catalog. They are always EE's...
