Thank you!!The regimen is seven to ten days for amoxy. Antibiotics will not make a chicken sick, but stopping them too soon can enable a relapse.

Well I got too excited too soon. Came home last night to a soft shell (harder than previous) egg in box. The egg was whole but broken due to girls laying and pecking. This was Petunia’s egg.Give her one more day of calcium. Congratulations!
I stopped the calcium the day before yesterday and her egg went back to soft. It IS more whole and a tad harder than previous soft eggs. I have one more day of antibiotics. Should I go back to calcium? I was reading someone today about making sure when you give them calcium you also give them phosphorous? Thoughts? Thank you so much! I’ll restart calcium today! If you are feeding a commercial feed, the phosphorous is taken care of. Yes, you want to continue the calcium tablet until the eggs are of good quality.
