My neighbor got a couple of chicks a few weeks ago and got this as his rare breed chick from McMurrys. He gave it to me because it was at the bottom of the pecking order and was always hiding trying to avoid the other chicks. It looks like a non-bearded EE but I need your opinion on it.

Yea, the green legs say EE. But I don't see a beard or muff. So I'm going to say EE mix too.

Quote:I have some LF OEG that are the same size and age as her but her feathers are much longer than the OEGs are. Could this be a Golden Campine or an Egyptian Fayoumi? The more I look at her I think she might be an Golden Campine from the pics I've seen online.
Edit: Wrote I thought she was not a GC [IMG]

I'm seeing a Golden Campine. McMurrays 'Ameraucanas' don't tend to be that far off of the overall EE look. This bird lacks any kind of EE feature except the legs, but many breeds have colored legs.

I say it's an EE because of the green legs and the pea comb, well that's my guess anyway.

Thanks guys. I will have to wait a few months now to see how she colors out. I'm hoping it's a GC because I already have enough EEs as it is right now [IMG] .
