This hen was given to me and I was so surprised when she went broody. Is she an RIR or ?
What is RR?
If you're asking if she's a Rhode Island Red, I don't think so, the color doesn't look quite right. Maybe a better profile pic would help.
Doesn't quite look like a rhode island red. Perhaps she's a mixed breed?
maybe a new hampshire red or a red sex link
From that angle, she looks a lot like our red sex-link, Gallifrey. Same color. She's a good layer, a large bird and very sweet.
not rir for sure
She looks like a wild type/wheaten heterozygote. I have never seen shafting on a gold columbian restricted wheaten. She also has some stippling in her back feathers and her neck feathers are too dark. Without the shafting and stippling - she would look like a utility Rhode Island Red.
Thanks to all for your imput. I have a RIR so didn't think she was and she didn't look like the red sex links I saw photos of. I've never had a LF go broody before.
