I have a adult arucana roo who is black with some light brown/gold speckiling(sp?) on the back of it's neck. Is this normal for them?

Maybe a black that was bred to a BBR? (wild genetic not wheaton)

It isn't an APA accepted color pattern, if that is what you where asking.

What color are the legs?

Sorry for the late post. anyway his leggs are a light grey/slate color. just curious if it was "normal". I'll try to get a pic of him and post it

More potential of being ameraucana. araucana are rumpless (no tail) with ear tufts. People often interchange the names it seems.

Good looking roo.

Araucanas can have tails as well, but they wont have muffs. And they can have clean faces too. Its just not what you want to breed for.
