I have a 6 year old hen who has previously had a small case of fowl pox a couple of years ago. So I am not sure if this is her just getting her comb scratch by something or if she getting fowl pox again? [IMG]

I don't know, but would suggest you call your local extension office if you have no local poultry vet. They can get the photo to their contacts to answer the question. I'm in Georgia, no local vets treat chickens. Had a health question, called my local county agent with the issue, and got email back from UGA the next day with my answer.

Hope this is not a serious problem.

Hard to tell yet. Usually they aren't supposed to get it again but if it's a different strain they can get the new strain of it. Mine have only had it the once thankfully.

To me, that looks like just scratches on the comb. Fowl Pox tends to cause more raised lesions and scabs, and larger ones.
