Is this Light Sussex a roo or hen?

    The picture was took today just after a mite bath as it had them when we got it, the breeder said it was 12 weeks

    Could you post a picture of the chicken dry? It's really hard to see which feathers are pointy and which aren't, when they're all pointy from wetness [​IMG]

    Oh right i'll get better pictures today - also if it is a roo when do they start getting the 5th claw?

    This is a young rooster. Looks a little week though. Maybe need dewormed.
    They don't start growing their spurs until they are about 6 months old. Some hens grow small spurs too. But this bird has long legs, that is what I have to look at the most. They don't tend to differ much from the hens anywhere else until they get about 6 months + old. Maybe because they get so big.

    I love my Sussex they are like gentle giants.
