Just noticed this bald patch on my roo while doing chores tonight. I have noticed them "grooming" each other. Seems to be gentle but maybe it isn't always. Or maybe it is mites as we are treating SLM at the moment and I ha e noticed some feather loss around the vents on a few others. I need someone more experienced with mites than me to share some knowledge.

My hens haven't been laying the best either. 9 hens and I have only gotten 9 eggs in 2 weeks. So far I chalked it up to their moving from the previous owner to my flock, so stress, but there was bad SLM at the time I picked them up.

I swapped out the pine bedding for sand mixed with DE and wood Ash. Washed their feet, dipped in oil and coated with vasoline, have done this 2x 5 days apart.
You might want to start doing this daily for a week.
His feet look pretty bad.

I'd get some permethrin and spray them all, coop included, asap too.

You're right they are terrible. I was so sad when I picked them up with how bad their feet were. The nails were crazy long too (like 2") so I have been trying to rehab them
