Mass Hilltowns
Here's the hen that's been acting very odd without concrete evidence of illness.

(Plus her scaly legs, that look much improved but now they're red?)

New symptom:

Mass feather loss!

She could be going through a hard molt. Ive only got one hen doing it. The rest are gouing through a soft molt. Usually you will see quills though. It looks like you have some coming through. As for the foot redness id try soaking her in some epsom salts. They dont look bad. Maybe just a little sore. Is she acting strangely? Sometimes feather loss can be a sign of a parasite

Bumping.

I've now found two teeny bugs. One on her, one on a feather she dropped.

Not sure if they're Northern Fowl Mites or Poultry Lice. Treatment is same, yes?

DE is a hot button topic. I have a big bag. Can I use or no?

What can I use ON the birds?
Can I just do Bratty Buffy and see if others become bothered?

I have several bags worth of shavings in my coop. Do I really need to toss it all out? It'd go in compost, and then they'd scratch it up anyway!

I can pressure wash the roost (wood ladder).

What product can I buy that I can spray into cracks and crevices or even the birds?
