Is this nesting box to high?

    Hi my chickens (2 white leghorns and 2 black australorps) are soon about to lay is this nesting box to high?

    No, it's not too high. But chickens will want to roost in the highest spot, so you want your roosts higher than your nesting box or they will sleep in the box (or on top)

    will it be a problem if they roost and lay in the same box?

    They will poop where they roost so you will have a dirty nest box and eggs..

    what happens when their is a dirty nest box? other than poop on the egg
