Ok, we got our chickens today! We have 7 pullets, all 6 weeks old. We have three “Americanas”, 2 Black Jersey Giants, and 2 Isa Browns. They are Lucy (Ricardo), Ethel (Mertz), Sally (Rodgers), Gladys (Kravitz), Millie (Helper), Tabitha (Stevens), and Endora. I absolutely adore them all!
So, we sat and watched chicken tv for like 6 hours today! Is that normal?? How in the world am I ever to get anything done when it is so entertaining & relaxing to sit and watch the show?
I hope they all enjoy the retro wallpaper I put in the coop! Thank you to everyone here for posting coop decorating tips and giving me the idea.

I can’t only imagine. Oh, my gosh, I am just smitten!! Sally Rodgers is my favorite. She’s the Isa in my lap in the pic. So friendly!

I hear you! We were out there talking about how we can expand before they even got here. I can feel the addiction! Guess there are worse things!

When Sally Rodgers jumped in my lap and made her little cooing noise my heart melted! They are going to have me wrapped around their little claws.

My Isa Browns, Henrietta and Hildegard are hilarious and full of mischief, my Cornish Rock, Enchilada is so loving, and my tiny little Silkie, Napoleon is so bossy and loves to sit on my head. I am still not convinced this is actually a Silkie, I think it a parakeet with furry feet.
