I was holding my handsome boy Maurice upside down this morning and I noticed his butt looked swollen and red. This was a bit worrying, but it’s the first time I’ve owned quails so I’m not sure if this is normal or not. If it is unusual, I wouldn’t be surprised. Every time he poops a sperm comes out, which I would guess is unusual. He is acting completely normal, not seeming in pain when I touch it or when walking. What should I do? I’m having a vet come for my chicken on Monday should I ask him to take a look at my quail as well? I’ll attach pictures, it’s a little hard to see through the feathers though.
