We have 3 RIR's and when we built the coop we had 4 separate stalls ... 1 for food and the other three were for each one to make a nest to lay eggs. They are all using the same nest?? I thought each would want their own.

Perfectly normal. I have 8 nesting boxes for 12 hens and they all use the same 2-3 boxes to lay in.

My hens line up like an airport runway, all waiting for the same box. Sometimes as many as three are crammed in the same box.

12 hens, 3 boxes, they all use the same box, often two or three hens in it at the same time. I'm surprised more of the eggs don't get damaged. [IMG]
