My Rooster ate some Tomato plant leaves and idk if it's okay for him to eat or not since I know some plants are and for them.

Tomatoes are fine for them but I’m pretty sure tomato plant leaves are toxic to them. I hope he didn’t eat too many.

I think your rooster will probably be fine! I was always told that tomato leaves and unripe fruits are toxic (because of solanine), but according to this article, they're okay to eat (for birds too).

If your rooster starts acting like he's not ok, give him a good dose of molasses mixed with water. That'll help him out a lot.

Yeah, I’ve read that tomato plants are toxic, but mine steal bites all the time and no problems. I wonder if actual studies have been done on what is toxic to a chicken or if it’s extrapolation from data for humans, or dogs and cats. I mean, certainly better safe than sorry, but I highly suspect your roo will be fine.

yesterday he ate a couple of bites and today snuck back and too 1 or 2 whole leaves. He seems fine right now. I am going to keep him away from it.

Yes put a net around it even so the other chickens can’t get it. I believe your rooster will be fine though

the other chickens cant get it. He sits on my lap on the deck (I take him out serperatly) and he jumps on the railing and eats the plants her can reach.
