Is this possible?!

My little silkie, Nugget, seems to have laid 7 eggs this week! Is this even possible?! I only have 1 silkie and her eggs are very different from the other girls so it's easy to tell them apart. How many eggs do your silkies lay?

My silkie hens are older. But, in the spring and fall I get a flush of daily eggs. The rest of the year its everyother day or so, when they are not broody.

I don't have silkies but I did get 7 eggs in one day from 6 pullets. They are relatively new layers so I understand things like timing can be a little off.

my leghorn will lay 2 a day but shes the only one that lays multiple

As shown above... it is possible to get 7 eggs in 7 days from a hen. Most hens don't lay that many though.

It is also possible to get 2 eggs in one day from the same hen! That is even more rare.
