Is this really a silkie chick??

Hey everyone! curious to know if I really have a silkie chick or if this is a different breed. She (or he.. hoping for a female) is the white one on top of the heating plate. Thanks in advance!

Yes it is a silkie for sure, not sure on the gender but I had two white silkie chicks last year that looked just like that one and they turned out to be pullets.

I think it's just in that awkward stage between puff and real feathers, my silkie chicks looked just like this and they did not frizzle. Silkies are super awkward looking teenagers.

She is pretty fluffy. The feathers are a lot different compared to the other breeds (more frizzled than flat feathers). Just from seeing other silkie chicks, they are very fluffy and have a lot of feathers on their feet, Where mine does not lol.

It doesn't have a beard or cheeks either. It's a Silkie though I think..

That’s a non Bearded Silkie. Silkies come in many different colors and they can have beards and muffs or none at all.
