[IMG] [IMG] Can anyone tell me if this is a rooster? I am pretty sure he is, but he is super sweet, smart (he comes when I call him), and adorable and I can't have roosters where I live so I am really hoping he is not a cock. He is very aggressive and one of my barred rocks who is almost twice his size hides when he comes near because she is afraid of being pecked by him. [IMG]By the way, I also bet five bucks he's a rooster.[IMG]

Here is the best picture of Snowball's face I could get.

New news! My supposed "rooster" was doing an egg cluck.

Well, then "he" might be a she! Roosters sometimes make noises that sound like the egg cluck, so it could still be a male. Just wait and see if you get an egg!

It was most surely an egg cluck. But it also may have been one of my other chickens (though this is unlikely because he had his beak open and was bobbing his head.)

Now I am sure it was another chicken doing the egg cluck because Snowball was doing the thing other than a crow that makes a rooster a rooster (I don't need to say any more...) my little sweet black silkie hen Soot.
