Is this Silkie chick a lavender?

    The hen is blue and the roo is black, both carry the lavender gene.


    Here's a blue full sibling, just six days older.

    Blue and black can't make a splash, just blue and black. I'd say lavender.

    Cute pics! I hope it is a Lavender! I have a couple of black chicks 3 weeks old that carry the Lavender gene.
    So breed some more of these babies so you can sell me a Lavender Roo in the spring. LOL

    All of your chicks are adorable.

    The roo is definitely black, my hen is very dark blue. I wasn't sure that she had the lavender gene. I guess I got the answer to that. [​IMG] [​IMG]
