We have 5 ISA Browns and they're 8 weeks old. We want to add some more chicks but I've heard that the ISA's aren't very welcoming to new chicks. The new ones will be different breeds but we're concerned that the Browns may injure or kill the newcomers. Does anyone have any experience on this?

ISA's can indeed be tough on newcomers. Many birds are this way, so it isn't news.

Integration of new birds is always challenging. To make the fight fair, it is best to overwhelm your ISAs with a slightly larger number of birds and make sure the new birds are the same size or even slightly larger. This normally solves your problems. The ISAs won't likely take on more than they can deal with.
