One of my pullets started laying today!

sdm gave some sites for the history. I find that if you ask six people the history of King Cakes, you will get seven answers.
The 'traditional' New Orleans King Cake is like a huge cinnamon roll with icing and heavy Purple, Green and Gold (yellow) granulated sugar on top. Some have fillings like a jelly donut or cream cheese.

The more traditional French cake is like double crusted custard pie.

More for me. Actually I've never had any problems out there. DW and I were out there the other day and our biggest problem was that they had run out of cakes.
