Anyone know of a breeder who might have point of lay or young hen Australorps available? Looking for NPIP farm with the true Australorp curious, gentle personality and good laying ability? Alternatively, a similar strain of Black Orpingtons?

You may want to post in the Ohio thread in the Social/Where am I Where are You section to find someone local.
Getting a single adult bird through the mail will likely be prohibitively expensive.

Yes, shipping birds is expensive. I've done it a few times when I couldn't find an NPIP supplier locally. Thanks for the idea.
