Today we tragically lost our Sebastapol. I can't replace her but I can spoil another. Have 6 month old Saddleback Pomeranian Goose also but want companion "sister" for pet only. Will live indoor, but has daytime pen with man-made pond for swimming. Will be spoiled

Any contact info, leads would be so appreciated. We live in Arizona. Willing to drive a days distance of needed. We are just devastated by our loss and hoping to fill our hearts again quickly. I know spring isn't far, but it feels like forever... And who doesn't want to winter in AZ?

I am so sorry for your loss:hugs

Have you been on your state thread or states close by? Or the rehoming or buy sell trade thread?
Thanks Miss Lydia, yes I searched a bit before posting with no luck, but hadn't looked by state, only breed name. I know it's not typical mating season but I have seen a few mentions of fall broods, so I was crossing fingers that someone might see. Thanks for the suggestion.

If your looking for a gosling that might be pretty hard but maybe a goose from this years hatch might be available now people cutting back their flocks for winter. Hope you can find one soon.

Yeah, I'm open to a hatchling from this year, and I know Sebastopol s are super sweet anyway. Since it is a pet for me, I really want to bond with it the most possible. And given what we just went thru, I'm leary of rescue. It's flawed logic, but that's where I am. I did find 2 leads, so fingers crossed and will absolutely take more.

Look on the Sebastopol FB groups. Can't say I have seen many listed in the southwest but posting a wanted should produce a lead.
Don't rule out a young gander. mine have been very outgoing and friendly. Much more so than the girls.

Oh thank you for that info. I did put out another post regarding male temperament. I have a female Pomeranian and didn't want to deal with any mating nasty behavior. Had Toulouse before and boy did the male get mean. But if you don't experience that, maybe it's a difference in breed? I did look for FB groups the other night but didn't see anything, only a handful of posts,. But I'll definitely try again. Thanks!

If you don’t want to deal with mating personality changes then go with a female. I love my gander but boy is he a handful during breeding season. He’s 11 yrs old and Embden he’s a stinker
