    Hi,

I am also new and starting with four chicks. I am also open to any help that anyone can give me. So it sounds like we have a lot in common! [IMG]

What breed of chicks did you get? I got two different breeds myself. 2 ISA Browns and 2 Rhode Island Reds. I am raising them for eggs. A lot of my neighbors have chickens and they raise them for meat.

Good luck with your little flock!

Hello to both of you! In addition to the excellent information CTKen has given you a link to, check with the members in your state for tips. Just type your state name in the search box and your state thread should pop up.

    Good luck and have fun!

Yes heat lamps work just fine, just be cautious of them falling, they can cause fires.
