We went to tractor supply, adoption place of our 7 wine chicks, we wanted 4.. You know the feeling. That day we brought home our first 6 red Rhoadie girls.. Pullets.. Strange identification.. We ( Tom and Becky) dived into educating on chickens.. our chickens now. With in hours 1 died! We had everything to start this journey.. So why a death? So back to TS for replacement.. And we got Chardonnay And lambrusco..

We cleared a back corner of our 1/2 acre.. And coop/run build began. It felt like we had all the time inn the world to build their home.. Then the heat came.. We live in Redding Ca. Yep! Gets mighty hot.. brooder had to come into the house.. Chicks were 3.5 weeks old.. Coop was about done.. Chicken run about done.. About... But then it was finished with misters..and wine chicks moved in. So we settled on 7 girls.. They have good space and Good eats/ drink.. Spoiled.. Perhaps a tad. Loved? Defiantly.. They are now 10 weeks old this weekend... More story to come later
