Our kids started last week - in the middle of very August. I hate that school started so early and don't blame my son for being in a very bad mood about it (also that he has to be up at 5:45 in the morning - something I feel is akin to waterboarding if you're a teenager). Glad your kids are happy to be going back.

I'm with you!! My kids went back the 7th (110* at 7 am here). After home schooling one last year, I was SO anxious for this year to start! LOL

I got my house back! Actually, I'm working on it. I'll have it back soon as I'm done cleaning it up after neglecting it for a year.

We Home School, which we love, and start next Monday... which is too soon. It seems like this summer just went too fast.

And, we took my oldest off to college this week and I'm missing him terribly; as are his siblings. There's a total 'hole' in the house without him here.

All Michigan kids will not start until after Labor Day. A new law was passed a couple of years ago and schools were given until this year to comply (so they could finish out contracts, etc). To help tourism, school will start after labor day.

I started my home school this week. I'm still not ready but I'd rather get more accomplished on this end of the school year and slack off on the other end!
