Out of the 14 eggs Shorty and I collaborated on hatching, only 2 made it. Oh, actually 3, but Shorty panicked and killed one.

Wynette will be interested to know that they both are from Shadow/Fudge unions, which means that they are BLRW X Ameracauna/??. They have Fudge's markings and comb and Shadow's ear tufts. One is clean-legged (Spot) and one is feathered (Little Bit). We are hand-raising Spot as she hatched a week later; she is tame but a little neurotic. LB is the "you may feed me, but don't touch me" type (as are most of my hen-raised girls).

I don't know how we'll integrate Spot; I may have to make her some little chicken pants and keep her inside. [IMG]
