After years of having a TSC hens for eggs; I've invested in quality purebreds and made it a hobby.

Now my favorite New Hampshire 4 mo old rooster has a bleeding toe. The old me would have "let nature take its course" and waited to see what happened. The new "I love my chickens" fever took over and I ran out with first aid ointments and bandaged up his toe, lol.

I don't know what he did to it but I sure hope the Nu Skin and vet wrap heals him up!!

Yeah...at my weakest moment I took a pullet (a favorite of course) to the vet to have it euthanized. It was cold and snowy and we didn't want to shoot her in such crappy weather (I can't do the neck breaking stuff). 30 minutes later I left the vet with some antibiotics and vitamin injections, $125 poorer - and we still ended up having to put the poor thing down a week or so later

With 30 chickens, we sure can't afford to try THAT hard with all of them.
