Hi I'm a very first timer our chicken has an egg that has pipped but is now not interested in laying on it at what point should we worry please right back asap

Do you have an incubator? Do you have a broody pen set up? Hopefully you have a heat light? If not, you are at least going to need the broody pen with light. I always have a thermometer in mine for the first few days. Keep it close to 99F.

I've heard of people using heat pads to help during hatching, but never done this myself. Good luck. Keep me posted.

We do have a lamp not sure if I'll need it the hen just went back and is laying on the egg so I think we will be ok and we do have a separate pen for the hen and chick once it's born
