I got 6 eggs from my 6 hens today. One egg was TINY! Maybe slightly larger than an inch long. DD is taking it to show and tell Friday. Anyone else ever get itty bitty eggs from standard size hens? They've been laying since August.

I've gotten a few. It's fun to get oddities sometimes.

Ok, Remember the rule.........there are no stupid questions.............! But what is inside that little egg? I mean is it completely normal just tiny, yolk white etc. all ok? And could it be fertilized............and hatch a mini mini mini chick??? Ok, I know the answer to that is no. I mean that's impossible.

Quote:I actually opened my last two and they both were complete eggs, with a yolk that was the size of a pea. Really cute!
