I've become the chicken lady

I've had my chickens and ducks less than a year, but I have become the local chicken lady. A lot of people in town have poultry, but apparently I'm just more vocal about it. People are starting to come up to me at random events and ask me all kinds of chicken questions.

I just hatched out 7 chicks a week ago and loved it so much that I've got 16 more in the incubator, so in addition to chicken advice, people are looking to me for chicks.

How many of you have had this happen to you?

I guess it's all good until you become the "crazy" chicken lady....

I am also the local chicken lady...albeit rather eccentric to those only who call me chicken lady..better that though than crazy.....hmmmmmmm "eggcentric" sounds beter though...... welcome to the eggcentric club!

I have been called that before. I take it as a compliment. They could call me worse I guess.
