I've had this rooster but not sure what breed he is. He is pure breed but I forgot what it was.

    Where did you get him from? He looks like some sort of gamebird to me.

    From another thread I've learned there are a LOT of different game breeds, and he could be a purebred...or a mix...but you might look into Spanish gamefowl. They can have large single combs or something that is similar to a buttercup...but I can't tell if your boy has a highly developed flared peacomb or a crownish/cuppish type...I *think* that looks peacomb-ish.

    You might trying posting on the game breed thread or try @sdm111 who is quite knowledgeable about the different game breeds to see if he is indeed a particular type.

    Hennie Game roo. Looks pure game blood to me, not mixed with other domestic breeds like RIR etc.

    probably don't want to leave him in with other roos....
