Just got the two emus and want to dose them with Ivermectin. I bought apple flavored Ivermectin for horses, but I don't know if the dosage amount is the same for emus? I assume they are about 100 lbs each... the paste is demarcated for horse weight. Hmmm. I was hoping they'd eat it instead of me trying to wrangle them into getting an injection!

I typically use the Safeguard horse paste with the emu. I use the horse dose for that. I know with liquid ivomectrian it is 1ml per 10 lbs of bird. If you find out how much ivomectrian per ml is in the paste vs the liquid you can adjust the dose.

I think I figured out that the dosage is the same as for horses... I was eventually able to get it put inside a sliced grape for one emu, and mixed with the feed for the other emu (who doesn't like grapes!).
