My husband and his business partner at the time actually had one of the original Macs. I can't remember what they cost at the time but it was a lot. My DH hates PC's and still only uses Macs.. We have had a slew through the last 25 years including a color classic and a Imac. I have a PC because the system my work does not support dialing in from home on anything else.

I agree with calling them a toy in some ways. If you want to have fun, and have a computer that just does what it is supposed to do, buy a Mac. If you want to spend half your time doing updates, security updates, fixing bugs and all that, buy a PC!

Yaaay! I will! I used to have a clunky old dinosaur PC... Even before I received my school iBook I knew I needed a new computer. And now, I got a PowerBook Pro G4 for Xmas! PC=Never again.
