Last spring I bought 2 Jersey Giant pullet chicks from Rural King. I watched them grow all year and through the winter, neither of them showing any signs of being a rooster. The past 2 months I have been pretty much house bound due to knee surgery. My husband has been caring for all the critters. I happened to be outside the other day checking for eggs and I did a double take. Where did this rooster come from? Very beautiful bird but I am surprised.

Since Giants are slow to mature, it's not surprising. The boys can stay on the down-low for quite a while and then suddenly they're in your face [IMG]
