I purchased what the farmer labeled an Australorpe rooster but with the yellow soles in his feet and his low to the ground box body and kind temperament I believe I have a Jersey Giant mix at worst.
The farmer told me that his was six months old. I have had him now maybe Three months and the nubs on his legs have not grown a bit. He is every bit a rooster but I’m wondering how long it would be for him to develop spurs if he even will? Are spurs a measure of virility? When I had him for a month and he finally had a chance to mate he was as clumsy as any teenager but then he got accustomed Because the hens patiently showed him how..
but when will
je grow spurs?
