Jersey giant?

I can get a picture in a few days when I get my chick but I had a friend hatch some leghorn eggs but her black jersey giant may have fertilized one as the newborn has a black dot on its but and a few black specks. Is it possible for a straight leghorn to have black ? Or is it indeed a jersey giant mix and of so how big will be or she get?

Yup, it is. I've had a leghorn chick with black spots.

Purebred leghorns will not have black spots unless they’re a cross of black and white (however, that’s unlikely as black leghorns are rare). Your chick is a Jersey giant/leghorn.

I named her Splotch, but she died. She was a white leghorn. Not sure where the black was from though, as I got her from a feed store-

That sounds more like an austra white (australorp x leghorn).

She wouldn't have been pure She was likely an Austra-White as @RoostersAreAwesome said or a California White

The chick is Leghorn x Jersey giant. Pure white leghorns don't have black spots.
