About 3 months old
There are 2 of them, 1st full length, 1st feet, 2nd feet, 2nd full length
These are a few characteristics BJG have.
Black legs, yellow bottoms of feet. Beetle green sheen on black feathers. Beak should be black with yellow at the tip...
I can't tell in the pics, I think just because of lighting, but yours look identical to what my BJG looked like at that age. Not saying they're roosters at all, mine didn't hit maturity until 5 months that's when I noticed they were roosters.
Mine are 6 months now
Did you get them from a breeder or a hatchery?
Yours are gorgeous!! I hope mine aren’t roosters though. Their combs are super tiny!
One of mine didn't show he was a rooster until about 3 weeks ago. It even acted like a pullet and was squatting. Then one morning he came out of the coop, crowed and the next day he had a really red comb. He still hasn't fully grown. BJG are such weird chickens, their growth and maturity stumps me and we've owned a lot of breeds.
I'm sure yours are pullets if that's what you bought. Mine were a lot larger at 3 months with really thick legs.
Thank you! I wish I could keep roosters here, they are so gorgeous! And your chickens are lucky coz they get to free range.
